PLAYERS CODE OF PLAY

All players are expected to behave in a manner that is consistent with the following:
  • Have fun and enjoy the game of soccer.
  • Follow the Laws of the Game during play.
  • Respect the decisions of the referee.
  • Swearing, name calling, or derogatory language will not be tolerated. 
    • Be a good sport by cheering all good plays, whether it's your team or your opponent's.
    • Treat all players as you would like to be treated.
    • Physical altercations will be an automatic suspension.
    • Shake the hands of your opponents and the referee at the end of the game.

    Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in the following:
    • Warning
    • Suspension from playing
    • Expulsion from the league

    PARENTS/SPECTATORS CODE OF CONDUCT

    All parents and spectators are expected to behave in a manner that is consistent with the following:
    • Safety comes first. Please position your seating area at least 1 yard from the sideline (touch line).
    • Set up your seating area on the opposite side of the coach and players.
    • Setup your seating area on the opposite side directly across from your coach and players.
    • Never stand or set up your seating area directly behind the goals, or inside 5 yards from the goal line.
    • Respect the referee at all times. Do not confront or engage the referee during game play or after
    • During the games, always positively encourage your child/players and the opponent players.
    • After the game, do not cross the playing field. Allow your child to leave the bench area, Team meeting should be away from bench area. 
    • Do not solicit advice to the coach during game play or breaks during the game.
    • No smoking on the fields during games or practices.
    • No alcoholic beverages or pets are allowed in the park at any time.
    • No noise makers!
    • Relax and enjoy the game!

    Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in the following:
    • Warning
    • Suspension from attending games
    • Expulsion from the park

    COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT

    All coaches are expected to behave in a manner that is consistent with the following:
    • Safety reason, remain at least 1 yard from the sideline (touch line) during game play.
    • During game play, all coaches remain on their respective halves of the field between midfield and penalty area, except for U-6 and U-7 when one coach is allowed on the field.
    • Only 1 Head Coach and 1 Assistant Coach are permitted on the sideline during game play.
    • Prior to game start, take a moment to introduce yourself to your opponent coach and referee for the game.
    • Coaches should explain the principles of the game in a calm and constructive manner. Shouting at players is never acceptable and can be detrimental to their development. Coaches should also refrain from criticizing the referee, as this can create a negative environment for the players and undermine the authority of the referee.
    • Remove any player becoming overly aggressive or disrespectful, giving them time to calm down. Remove any player becoming overly aggressive or disrespectful, giving them time to calm down.
    • Hold a preseason meeting to address acceptable player, parent and coach code of conduct behaviors.
    • Be a positive example for your team, your opponent, and all parents and spectators alike during the game.
    • After the game, line your team up and shake your opponents and their coaches hands. Shake the referees hands.

    Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in the following:
    • Warning
    • Suspension from attending games
    • Expulsion from the park

    All ejections will be reviewed by the MCSA Disciplinary Committee
    for possible suspension
